Outdoor Cabinets

Outdoor Cabinets

sol_Challenge
The Challenge
Telecommunications companies utilize outdoor cabinets equipped with expensive equipment. Outdoor cabinets are vulnerable and are at high risk of theft and vandalism, with zero tolerance to malfunctions and downtime. As such, they need a security solution addressing these threats. Furthermore, outdoor cabinets are often services by various stakeholders (i.e. electricians, air conditioning technicians,) causing a cumbersome, costly and labor-intensive key management process.

The Solution

OUTLOCKS solutions are designed to meet these challenges, with a secure, innovative easy-to-deploy solutions for outdoor electricity and communications cabinets.

Physical Security

With critical infrastructure such as communication sites, preventing theft and vandalism is of major importance. OUTLOCKS’ solutions feature concealed locking units with no conventional keyhole, withstanding vandalism and protecting the site against theft. All locking units are based on the revolutionary patent protected Knock CodeTM technology, which uses an encrypted sequence of mechanical pulses to communicate between the lock and the key. The user simply holds the key against the locking unit or an adjacent hard surface and enters the code, which passes straight through to the lock.

Access Management

OUTLOCKS enables offline access verification, within the locking unit, eliminating the need for network communications. The system is flexible and can accommodate the access needs of any organization, with features such as single use access codes and scheduled unlocking timeframes.

With OUTLOCK’s single key solutions, a single key is capable of unlocking multiple locking units and lock types.

Convenient Central Management

OUTLOCKS provides a powerful interface for daily operations such as adding and removing users and keys, generating single use codes, scheduling access and more. OUTLOCKS also performs detailed event logging, generated and stored by the locking unit and by Log n Lock management software.

Cost Effective Deployment and Usage

OUTLOCKS systems are cost effective to install and can be easily adapted to existing trucks or storage facilities. There is no need for installation of costly infrastructure since the access control is built into the locks. Furthermore, a wide variety of locks is available.

All locks are based on revolutionary patent protected Knock CodeTM technology, which uses an encrypted sequence of mechanical pulses to communicate between the lock and key. The user simply holds the key against the locking unit and enters the code, which passes straight through any solid surface to the lock.

Workflow Description

  • Upon arrival to the facility, the technician initiates a code request
  • The system verifies key holder’s credentials, location and cellular number
  • The system generates a service code and sends it via SMS
  • The acquired code is entered to the KnocKeyTM and once pressed & held against the door, unlocks the lock by a series of encrypted pulses
